Rocket City 73 (“this site,” “we,” “us”) is a community hub for amateur radio, Meshtastic, and MeshCore enthusiasts in Huntsville, Alabama and the surrounding area. This page explains what information we collect and how it’s used.

Information We Collect

  • Comments: If you leave a comment on a post, we collect your name, email address, and IP address, along with the comment content. This is standard WordPress behavior used to prevent spam and identify commenters.
  • Contact forms (if used): If this site includes a contact form, any information you submit (name, email, message) is used only to respond to your inquiry.
  • Analytics: This site may use basic analytics (such as those provided by our hosting provider) to understand overall traffic patterns. This data is aggregated and not used to identify individual visitors.
  • Cookies: Like most WordPress sites, this site may use cookies for basic functionality (such as remembering comment form details). We don’t use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

How We Use Information

Information collected is used only to operate and improve this site — responding to messages, moderating comments, and understanding what content is useful to visitors. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

This site is hosted by Hostinger and built on WordPress. These providers may process technical data (like IP addresses) as part of standard web hosting operations. If this site adds donation processing (e.g. via Ko-fi or PayPal) in the future, those transactions are handled directly by those platforms under their own privacy policies — we do not see or store your payment information.

Your Rights

You can request to see what personal data we hold about you (such as comment data) or ask for it to be deleted by contacting us at [insert contact email].

Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the site grows or adds new features (like a donation button or newsletter). Significant changes will be reflected with an updated “Last updated” date above.
